how old is she... if she is younger i say save the type-r and give it to her once it's at like 200k miles... drop the engine, rebuild it and slap a turbo on there with a mean sounding BOV. girls love the "cutesy" look of integras... and love the sound of BOVs
not to mention if you and your son build it you will give him an all around apreciation of cars and a better understanding of different engine technologys (going from pushrods and carbs to fuel injected engines with over head cams) it will make him quite rounded and very knowledgeble.

My son knows whats up. When he sees nice rides ( especially old schools ), he drools. Anything that catches my eyes it catches his. Its funny, he knows the difference between nice one & the POS ones. I always take him to car shows, especially the ones with Old schools, he luvs it. Its all about starting em young.

Tell your dad you want a POS civic...it will be cheap and easy to work on and you'll learn alot then one day when you have a job and money of your own you will be able to afford a type R and if something does break on it you will be able to fix it yourself!

if u dont even know whats some convincing info about an ITR... u dont deserve one... period....
honestly... i agree with some of the people here ur too inexperience.... u probably read in the mags or other forums or hell even watch fast and frustrated and u thought hey i want a TYPE R..... no dont... get urself a starter car.... whether its a civic, 240, or whatever... learn from those before u move on to some faster, quicker, more expensive toys....
but if dad is going to pay for everything go on ahead and get a type r... just tell ur dad its a honda they last a long time

just make sure you have an alarm in it and that you always get parked in or park in a driveway.
