Yeah, not a fun experience. If I were to do it again after realizing how difficult is was even to get the Greddy kit to pass, I would have installed a much better kit and retained OBD2 for emissions. The guy that did the test did a very brief check under the hood, so I may have been able to get away with it.

I got my "smog test" done for $60. It was really legit too, he was just lax on the visual inspection.

i'm suprised no one has sued, there has to be a jusge out there that would rule that if a vehicle performs emissions tasks within it's original spec. that a visual inspection is not warranted and is a violation of privacy. even though we all know why they do it (to stop excessive moding of cars)

in reply to the search post....i've done that...several times...but then again...everyone has their own opinions and i know the basics of the teggie turbo idea...carb or not..how much boost building the block excessive quality tuning... gunna cost you... im wondering the personal opinions of the people i post back and forth with on a daily basis...but yeah...i've spent the better part of a month wishing more people had boosted the b18b then i'd have more to read on it....most of the posts are people selling off their b18b cuz they bought a B18c or C1, or c5 w/e the situation may be...

but yeah...good posts all around...keep em comin
