Default Strange thing happend today

I went out side and found my car antenna sticking up. I check the fuse and the antenna wire behind the deck. Simply put I can't get the thing to go down anyone experence something like this? the car is 81K miles.

Mine was stuck when I bought it. Try replacing the mast with a new one.

So do the men.

Mine used to be erect all the time, but I like it when it can go down when I don't need it. h:

Mine used to always be erect. We(My dad and I) have replaced it 3 times after trying countless things to try to fix it. Nothing worked. I can't even remember if it still works. Its just a pain when you turn on the radio or cd or anything it goes up, so I just unplugged the motor and said screw it. I still get great reception, without the annoying noise of the antenna going up and down.

When mine started to go I wired in a switch on the center console to disable the antenna. I listen to CDs mostly and only use the radio like once a month so I just keep it turned off most of the time. It saves a lot of wear and tear on the motor assembly and it also looks better since you don't always have this freakishly large antenna always sticking up. I would recomend you do this if you replace the your antenna.
