temp sensor question
alright guys. please forgive my ignorance for the following:
i had an obd-0 ls (b18a) block with a obd-0 wiring harness. spun a rod bearing. and bought a JDM B18b long block from an importer in VA. the new engine did not come with a wiring harness, but i figured, since im using my obd-0 ecu, everything should check fine. here's my problem; there is a harness on the back of the obd-0 block that (i'm assuming) detects the temperature and turns the radiator fan on. the b18b block does not have a spot to plug this harness into. a buddy of mine saw that and said "you might have to wire your fan to a switch inside your car..." So when I was doing some small finishing touches, I noticed that right where the lower radiator hose plugs onto the block, there is a clip that i do not have a harness for. now, both of the clips in question have two prongs. is this the temp sensor for the fan? btw, i was told the block was an obd-1 block.
thanks, guys. if im confusing, let me know, i'll try to reword this.
