My timing belt story: 8 hours and few problems!
Here goes:
First of all I got all my stuff shipped from Tucson Arizona. There's a dealership there that just has DIRT Cheap parts! I paid basically 3 times less than what I would have paid normally.
The only thing they didn't give me though was the gasket that keeps dust out of the timing belt area. The gasket on the lower timing belt cover. I ended up reusing that, but I think the best thing would be to change this out as well.
I also took this time to change my water pump, change my spark plug well gaskets, as well as the 8 valve cover seals/grommets whatever you want to call them. I also got oil seals for what I think were my camshafts but I didn't change these. What I probably should have done at also (but was impatient and had no time) was a valve adjustment since everything was off and sitting right there.
I followed the c-speed racing how to, but used the pictures from team integra.net. A simple search should yield these two sites since I dont have the links handy.
A lot of people have horror stories about the crank pulley bolt, but I found this to be quite easy actually. No extension, just a friend under neath the car while I stomped the brakes in 5th gear, he had a thick ass pipe on a 1/2" drive ratchet and he just kicked the pipe and it broke loose. Granted, he used to be a mechanic and his ratchet/pipe was pretty heavy duty.
One of the things I was concerned about was supporting the weight of the block since we were removing the upper driver side mount, however, with enough finesse, the extra weight is easily supported by the other mounts. We were also about to reattach the mount, and threading the two bolts on the mount when we were done actaully pulled the engine back up (it had sagged al ittle when we undid the mount).
The hardest thing was retensioning the belt, and getting the tensioner/spring back on was a huge pain in the ass. A lot of swaering and cutting up your hands as you try to get the tensioner and spring back on. Also, really try to make sure your cam gears and crank gear is lined up.
If you're changing the water pump then have a bucket handy for draining the coolant as well. I also noticed that the fill neck for the rad is sooo small. It was a pain in the ass to refill the rad with coolant.
I guess thats pretty much it. Most people know what it takes to change the belt, and it takes about 8 hours/a full day to do it. However, we did break for meals and shit so I thikn it can be done in about 5-6 hours. I'll be happy to answer questions as best as I can.
Edit:
Cliff notes: Changed timing belt, crank pulley bolt was relatively easy, but retensioning belt was hard.

your cliff notes were a total 180 for me. changing belt was alright, but retensioning belt was easy and the crank pulley bolt was the hardest/simplest thing i ever had to do to my car.
Good Work on the job though. many-many people wouldnt have even dared to take on this type of project.

It was pretty tough and there were some frustrating moments. Also the power steering pulley/fluid container kept getting in the way but I didn't want to remove the hoses connecting it.

Yea i removed the powersteering, too anoying. Like teggyls, the cs pully bolt was just insane. Yep 8 hours sounds about right.
Somthing i wish i did was change all my v-belts while i was down there. did you?

right on. I have mine scheduled for this Friday as long as the parts get here.
What did you pay for your parts? I ordered the kit from Prostreetonline for 153. Water pump, TB, tensioner, less spring.
Plus another 45 dollars from Schucks for the other 3 drive belts.

I didn't change any of the accessory belts. I paid about 250 CAD for the pump, the belt, the valve cover gasket, spark plug well gaskets, and some other gaskets. I also ordered a new air filter from these guys hence the extra 30 or so bucks. A really, really awesome deal. On ebay motors, look up chapmanparts I beleive. It's an actual dealership so all parts were OEM, not just OEM spec which is wat I believe Prostreetonline offers. Great service, and I had a UPS tracking # in my hand 1.5 hours later.
VPUPPY, man I can't imagine that tensioner bolt getting stripped. That would suck sooo much. I was pretty frustrated like I said, and my replacement went 'well' (ie, no big headaches).
Also, I'd like to stress, watch, watch watch out for the key on the crankshaft pulley. When you're mad and just tearing stuff out that thing is so small and its very easy to lose!!
