i think its just how hard the engine was drivin. i have a 205k miles LS 90 G2 and it runs VERY strong with NO major problems nor has it had any...besides a clutch at 202k miles (throwout bearing), my dad bought it brand new and only shifted at 3k never passed so i guess that has something to do with it (performance wise, the clutch was me :rick: ). i think all honda engines were built the same, just different engines got different care thus resulting in low performance. i think my teg could put up the same times as a brand new 90 g2 would

A dyno chart or track time would prove much more than a simple compression test...that doesn't prove shit.

true... but putting it on a dyno costs $$$ a compression test will show if his car is in better shape than most LS's. not to mention doing one every once and a while is a good idea regardless.

thats what i think. i mean, if he's sure it really is "better" than a typical LS motor, it might have something as simple as a cam upgrade or even something like high c/r pistons. hell it could have a modified ECU for that matter :dunno:

There is always going to be some engines that are better than others. This has been covered numerous times in every good automotive forum. The factory has certain tolerance levels that they have to meet. Meaning only a few cars are actually making it out of the factory that are build exactly how the specs say. However, knowing the crazy japanese tolerances... most of our cars are on a pretty even plain. So you should go race a GSR, if you still pull on them. You are either a great driver, and/or your car is truly a "freak" good one.
