Settle for a pre 98 integra?

The ls was sold 2 years ago , nothing happened just needed a better commuter at the time. I was fed up from worrying about parking it and when i first turboed it i didnt do the research so i ended up having to spend a lot of money correcting what i messed up. (blowing a motor with forged pistons and rods, due to fuel pump failure), so after getting another motor, building it up and tuning I sold the car.
Schmoo you have a good pt with the intercooler. Do you have the greddy type 24 intercooler? I had that on my ls as well. I had to dremel away the inside of the bumper to make it fit, does the intercooler fit right into the pre 98 models? I know that bar across the bumper hides it well. The intercooler attracts a lot of attention.

Here is my analysis of it:

Type 24V - Has to be shaved on both bumper styles. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Type 31V - Has to be shaved on the 98-01 only. Mine didn't need any modification to fit the intercooler.

The 94-97 style hides the endtanks perfectly and with my car, you can't even see the intercooler unless you are looking for it. :rick:

Thats a pretty nice setup. So do you have any problems passing inspection?
btw another reason for sale i couldnt get my car inspected and actually got a ticket 3 days before the car was handed over to the buyer.

i like the 98 and up cause it shows the intercooler, my car is basically the exact opposite of shmoo's and mine is an 01

The intercooler is sprayed black, so I don't have an issue.

We don't have inspection, but worse, smog checks. I passed with everything intact, so I guess it was fine.

You are also 10 times more likely to get nailed by a cop when doing anything wrong. The funny thing is that my car is faster and much less likely to get pulled over.

agreed. ahahhaha, but that is what makes are cars so tight when we roll up anywhere together!, and plus i can always do second place as long as u are the one that is taken 1st ahhahahhaha

10 psi vs. 8 psi.

The upgraded clutch and 9 lb flywheel help too.

10psi, no 17s clutch and flywhell (shmoo)
mine is at 8.5 psi but skunk2 intake, stock clutch and flywheel, well soon change that, and go up to 10 psi, but i will still have the 17s lol
