Default Ecu Reset

I just reset my ecu because I put in a cai. I had my maintaince req. light on before i did it and I have it now that i recet it. DID i reset it right or did it not work ? thanks

how did you do it? i take the disconnect the negative battery cable for like 20 seconds and then pop it back on..

I took out the 2 top fuses for 10min. I read it in a article for tegs

Just disconnect the neg battery cable and go do something for a few minutes. That way power is cut to everything. If your SEL light comes back on, theres something wrong that needs to be serviced. Go to autozone and have them pull a code (free), then find out what the code means. Im sure someone on here can look it up for you if it comes down to that.

SEL light? you mean CEL? and his CEL wasn't on, his maintaince light was on, go to our FAQ section and it will tell you how to get rid of that light. its a button hidden under the steering wheel that you need to hold for a couple secs.
