I ripped out my back seats and everything esle back there so its down to the bare metal. I want to put my sub in my spare tire compartement cause i never use my car for long trips so a spare is not necessary. Reason why i ripped out all the rear seats is to maximize storage space for my DJ gear etc... plus no one ever sits in my back seats.

Anyone have any suggestions or pics of what to do with the interiour to make it look appealing and simple at the same time?

put your seats back, lol jk. i wanted to do the same. i dont have any pics but some advice. if your gonna lay fiber glass(walls, base, etc) do it first in cardboard and make sure things are tied down

 

i was thinking of just using plywood and carpeting it, and obvoiusly putting the proper frame where necessary to keep it strong. But yeah good idea with the cardboard.. ill use it for my cutout of the plywood if i go that route

Rhino line it, like some people do w/truck beds. I've seen this done and it looks clean. It'll set you back abput 2 bills but it's tough and won't scratch or snag and it is guaranteed.

i was also thinking of having my dj setup (2 turntables, mixer, and final scratch [dj hardware/software]) put into the design so as to kind of rollout from the back and be able to use it...

 

Word, I was thinking something similar as well..
Have you seen that Scion Xb that has the turntables mounted? it's sick..
how much does all of the equipment weigh? (so I can get some ideas flowing.)

Mixer weighs about 10 lbs
Turntables weigh about 25 lbs each
Laptop (for hardware/software) is 8 lbs
Hardware is 4 lbs
I do not need space or room for vinyls at all (well just two vinyls)
Also, i would like to make the "console" for all this removable incase i need to fit stuff (other equip, spks etc) in the car.

Mainly i use this as a promo veichle for my DJ shop (but once in a while i need it to transport additional equipment that we cant fit in the cargo van,) So we do events at the beach or in parking lots etc.. and it would be nice to be able to just open the trunk and play as opose to unload and setup all kinds of stuff.
