Have you ever had the crank pulley swallow the lower timing belt cover?

OK, I got the replacement pulley and bolt and put it on but I have encountered yet another problem. The pulley is from an ITR and it seems like it is a little smaller, so the alternator belt is now too long. I am going to go to Autozone tonight and see if I can find a smaller belt. The A/C and P/S belts seem to fit fine, so I just need that one belt.

I think the main problem was the pulley, not the bolt. The ITR pulley took a good amount of force to get it onto the crank, but my old pulley slid right on. The inside hole seemed to be stretched out like an old whore, so I figure that is the cause of the failure.

It would be too good if it just worked out perfectly huh? My peave is running into pesky bolts that won't break free, break or strip. LOL Good luck and let's us know if you get that fucker on there.

It did work out fine, minus two trips to the autoparts store to get the correct belt since the ITR pulley made the alternator belt way too long. It fired up first try and everything was perfect.

Suprisingly, all the bolts came off relatively easy, so the only thing that caused me problems was the incompetence of USPS on getting the pulley and bolt to me in a timely manner.

Still working on the tune. I did a full throttle run and it richens out at 4000 rpms, but still pulls very strong to redline. I will iron that out and lean it out a bit and then bump the boost up to 10. :rick:
