I got a cheap 1989 integra LS manual with a broken valve in it. I replaced the valve but the valves are loose and chattery. i looked at the haynes and chiltons but no luck. any valve lash experts around here???

 

The thing is is that these engines really need to have there valves adjusted often. The engines will just come apart if the valves are not maintained. Crank them down to spec. If you don't have power one or more are staying open too long, if they chatter find the one that is doinit and crank. the adjustments are very smal. sometimes the oil you run can make a diff. I use rislone at about 2,500 miles. Then when the oil is changed the rislone goes with it. Rislone is a cleaner. But I don't like it in there too long. Another is Miricle Oil. Add a quart at a new oil change and listen to it quiet down. I use to work on import MC's and this car is just a over sized chicken wing!
