Default Spark Plugs

Does anyone here use NGK copper in his GSR? I have a 94 GSR 4d and it's about time to change spark plug. Manual says NGK platinum but I am planning to use copper and change it every 12-15k. Just want to make sure someone has done it before and it wouldn't hurt the engine.
Thanx.

Anyone? I knew someone had done it before and discussed it on this forum quite a while ago. Please...
Thanx.

If it was discussed, I'm sure you could find it using the search button.

I searched but nothing came up. Guess it was discussed a long time ago.

Stick with the coppers. They're cheap and work great. Platnums are expensive but they do last longer.

I think copper plugs are recommended for non-vtec engines and platinum plugs for vtec engines. Just want to know if using copper in a vtec would do any harm. Anyone?

There was a big discussion about this before the big crash, and I believe the general concensus was that coppers are the way to go. They do need to be changed about twice as often (I think) as the platinums, but I believe they only cost about 1/4 as much. There was some talk about copper producing a better spark since it is a better conductor than platinum, but I don't think it would make any difference. Copper

You'll be fine with copper in vtec motors. My roomate runs them in his GSR.
