I think that I will try to do it at home with the help of a couple of friends. Do I really need the use of an impact gun?

I used all hand tools. If you don't have an impact gun, make sure you pick up a 2' breaker bar for those tight bolts.

What he said, also you might want to pick up, or borrow a torque wrench from a friend, this is especially important on those pressure plate bolts.

First clutch i ever did was on an old school Subaru DL, i didnt have a torque wrench and just tightened them down as tight as they would go without breaking. Keep in mind this was just a beater car i used to learn how to work on cars, though it did fine without a torque wrench i wouldnt recommend it.

Don't use that 2 foot breaker bar to "overtighten" stuff, just to break it loose.
