dropping in a k&n air filter onto your stock hose (replacing your air box)
won't exactly give you hp gains, but it'll only cost you $70, and give you better throttle response... I'm not 100% sure the part is the same for a LS as it is a GSR, but if you want the K&N Air Filter that'll fit, it's model number is "e-2427"

Without spending "a lot of money" you're not gonna find a whole lot to do..
maybe some altezza headlights will put a couple more ponies to the pavement, if you tune them right... don't forget to check your blinker fluid while you're at it.

are u looking for something streetable, if so u can go with intake, header, exhuast, cams, intake mainfold, and some other goodies. i had this type of a set up on my gsr before i went turbo, my set up was as follows SKunk2 cams stage 1, skunk2 intake manifold, comptech ice box, comptech header, hondata gasket, aem 5 bolt cam gears, Apexi N1 cat back exhuast, apexi VAFC 2. gave me great power over stock and the car was fast! but if u are intrested let me know cuase i still have the cams, the air intake, header, and vafc so hit me up if u are intrested
