Default Spark Plug

I changed my oil today and figured I would take a peak at my spark plugs. I pulled one out and this is what I found on top of it :
It was only on two and this was the worst one. Is this just the grease used to make the boots slide on easier? Could this cause a misfire feeling(havent been able to get out and drive it yet)?

it possibly could cause a misfire. but it does look like the glue/grease that holds the boot to the plug wire.

I just took it for a spin and that was my problem. That little bit of grease was causing my misfire. The car runs like a champ now!

I'd go with NGK as that is what the manual recommends.
