Jerez de la Frontera – 21st of August 2005

Well, I and some of my friends decided to go do some laps at the Jerez race track, since it is 600km from Lisbon my DC2 was driven there.

I might have some action pictures later from someone who was not driving and a video is on the way.

The track is amazing and fortunately not very hard on the brakes even that it is blistering hot out there. Loads of fast corners that rely on pure grip.

I was using 16 inch Toora rims with 205/50/R16 Avon slick tires that were very kindly lended to me by the Honda BPI Cup organization. My RE540S’s for 15 inch rims were down to the wire unfortunately

“Pilas” in portuguese means dicks, but I guess that in spanish has another meaning! LOL! Or maybe it’s a town full of dicks!

Great track... I wish F1 had a race there instead of just endless testing!

How did you like the Avons?

 

The Avons were pretty good and only started to give up after an hour of track abuse

 

Very cool!

So how many cars were on track, it does not look like too much.

In fact it was a portuguese team that races on the Spanish GT championship that rented the track for testing and sold us the hour from 13:00 to 14:00.
