the long gear ratios of the ls tranny are gonna be a burden on the gsr motor. it wont be as quick but itll due.

Ok, I'll run these tests and I will let you all know the outcome. The swap will not be completed until about Saturday, so look for my post then.

Anyone else in this situation - it would do you good to subscribe to this thread in case I don't respond until Monday.

Swap is done!

I still have the LS ECU in because the dumbshits didn't ship them both together.
With this config, the tach is a-okay and the speedometer is right on the ball.

I'll leave an update once I get the GSR ECU in and get it installed, but I think that it'll be all good.

Just to put this out there: even a GSR motor with LS ECU kicks the balls off my old LS motor. Right off. :yes:

GSR motor with an LS trans. Seems like 1st gear has become obsolete when cold. Still have the LS ECU in as well. But fun so far

ECU is gonna be in my hands soon and then we'll be done. Oh - need to charge my A/C as well.

itll kick more ballz one you get the right ecu and you acutally have vtec engaging
