Default have some ideas, need imput

I have a 2000 Ls its all stock with about 65k on it. I want to turbo it but I'm not sure if I should get a vtec head for it first. Will the head make that much of a difference thats its gonna be worth the extra 500-1000. The turbo kit I"m lookin at is a Drag Turbo it, it comes complete with everything.

Well if you think that the extra pep is worth the money then go ahead. But MHO is it's not worth it.

I understand the work involved in both upgrades, I worked for Acura for awhile as a tech. I just never really got into upgrading my own but with the gas prices these days a nice little sleeper will be ok. what will the ls run at 7 or 8 psi?

I have never driven a ls vtec, I hear they are pretty sweet but v-tec is a higher rpm power adder and so is a turbo, so Im just not sure that doing both would really be worth while.

I think he means it is not as easy as slapping on a head, you know oil lines etc...

IMHO just go with the turbo, yes the head will give you a power boost, but once you have the turbo in there you can test and tune it with larger injectors to power way beyond what the vtec head alone will achieve
