Just bought a 90 Integra GS with 87K....mileage is low but the body is starting to rust out in back, ABS light is on, and AC is not working...is there anything else I should be checking out with these cars? Thanks alot fellas.

 

well in my opinion i'd be glad if my ABS stopped working, but that's just me. As for body rust that seems to happen with imports especially since 90% of the time the factory paint job is crappy anyways! as for AC what's not working? the whole thing or is it just not blowing cool air? more details needed... mileage is low though so you might have a decent find on ur hands, but I would recomend dogging it slightly cuz if anythings bad it will go out with just a slight bit of aggressive driving. Also check to see if it smokes, it's not a huge deal most of the time, but can be an indicator from time to time... also what engine do you have I would have allready checked that cuz it's your key to fixing and/or modifying! I can't remember wh/ engine it comes with...

 

Damn a 90 teg with 87k. Did you get a good deal? My gf had a 90 back in college and it was a great car. That is until she gave it back to her parents and her dad drove it into a curb and tore up the axles etc......

 

My AC went out due to a ruptured line and broken compressor. It cost me $1,000 to get two new lines and a new compressor installed.

Thanks for the warm welcome...I believe the 90 GS came with the B18A engine...As far as the AC, looks like someone took the belt off...I wasn't expecting this car to be perfect; I bought it off an older man who had it sitting in his backyard for the last two years....ONLY $1700 for 90 Integra Coupe (Black) 5spd with 87K!!! I had to buy it...Having owned a Sentra SPEC V for the last two years, this car is feels WAY more solid than my MIM (Made in Mexico) Spec..
