Default Need To Borrow Stock Intake

If there's anyone out there with a stock intake they aren't using, I would like to borrow it real quick.

My car needs to pass state inspection. Anyone who would be willing to do this please email at FLYUSAFSOC@adelphia.net, I will be willing to pay (shipping and a little extra for YOUR car) :-)

Thanks,
Jake

Just an AEM cold air intake. In Maryland, apparently, you need the stock intake sysyem.

I don't understand why there is a difference between street-legal and inspection-legal.

Yea, it is. I'm gonna do some research with the MD state police-this is bs.

I have the AEM CAI with it's stickers and I pass. I even pass with the 4-1 header w/ heat shields on the stock cat & cat back.

Just talked to the state police. Apparently, for state inspections you must have all emissions equipment on the car stock from manufacturer.

That's some shit.

Anyone else have that in their state? I'm about to find a shady gas station to do my inspection

that is bull shit, if it has a carb eo number then its fine u have noting to worry about, they need to reread there laws, or u can buy my comptech ice box set up and u will pass for sure with that and it will work nicer then that air intake u got going rihgt now, plus u won't suck up water.. pm me if u are intrested! its comptech ice box for an ITR.

as long as the emissions systems are in tact (all sensors working) and you have a carb exemption number you should be fine.

since carb standards are the most strict laws a carb exemption is golden

It's official. Maryland state law says all factory emmisions equipment must be installed on the vehicle for the state inspection.

Pretty gay, huh?

I would still appreciate someone letting me borrow their intake for about a week - I will pay shipping plus $50. The cost of buying stickers is a lot more than the $100 inspection.

Thanks,
Jake
