I have had my Silverstars in for about a year now. As long as you don't touch the bulb with your bare hands you should be fine.

I have to disagree. I wore clean latex gloves when I was messing with my bulbs and putting them in, and I still had the problem of them not lasting any time at all.

i put in 9005 silverstars into the main headlight sockets and so far they're pretty bright I'm happy so far.

That glare is pretty insane, though. Hopefully, your local law inforcement is pretty lax, because those would be very blinding to any incoming traffic.

They do look pretty nice though; almost like HID's but with a buttload more glare.

years ago i did the 9005 cool blue conversion.. it was ok. i think one of them blew out, so i swapped in 9005 silverstars. i think those lasted even shorter, and i never saw any drastic improvement. eventually, after they all blew out, i went back to the stock bulbs original to the car. :eek3:

since then, i've put in 9006 xtravisions. imo, the best of all that i've tried.

Werd..........I have had mine in (conversion) for 2+ years, and they have not burned out yet. Also, I have yet to be hassled by any law enforcement.......

I agree. I had those in before I switched over to HID's. For the price, they offer the best performance, hands down.

Shmoo how much did you pay for your HID conversion and where did you get it?
