Default Swap problems

I changed my block last night and got the car running. It's got power and all that but, when you start it up it stay's at like 3000rpm and then comes down after 2mins to about 2500rpm then jumps up and down from 1000 to 2500 rpm.

PLEASE HELP.

try taking your intake off. place your finger in the hole on the bottom of the inside of your throttle body. if it stops then take your t. body off and pull that chamber off and plug it. it does nothing. it is for emissions.

Yeah I did that last night and it ideled nice. But I think when I step on the gas it does not sound as strong as it should. Do you think I need a new iac sensor? The one I have is used and I don't know what car it came off.

Could be:

Vacuum leak
Fast Idle Thermo Valve
IAC valve

Since you say it runs poorly when driving, it could also be your cam timing is off.

its sucking in to much air, it should be your IAC Valve, or a leak

nothing to worry about. just put a piece of rubber in it. i took the t. body off and unbolted the 3 bolts. then i fit a piece of rubber in the chamber. it is only about half way blocked. mine works perfectly now.
