integra gsr tire question?

teg owner need advise from pros!!!!!!
I got an integra gsr tire question?
I got a 2000 gsr And I live in a place where It doesn't snow at all. I use to have michlens 195/55-15 xgt-v4. Then I got two flats and the only tires they had in the whole town was some eagle xl 185/60-15. I heard of people using 195/60/15 and 205/50/15 tires. Will the 185/60-15 have any affect on my car? The tire guy rotated my two michlens to the back and put the two 185/60 in the front. Will my speed be off, will this affect any of my driving? What other flaws are there. Some one please help.

The 185/60 R15 are a little too tall in sidewall height. Because of their increased diameter, the speedo will be off when they are mounted on the front wheels.. The mechanic did the right thing by installing them on the rear of the car.
There is another problem that I'm concerned about. It has to do with the ABS anti-lock braking system. Because the rear tires are now larger in diameter than the fronts, they will not rotate as fast as the front wheels when at a given speed. The ABS computer will probably notice this difference in wheel RPM and may attempt to intervene.
Keep an eye on the ABS light on your gauge cluster. If it illuminates while the car is in motion, the ABS computer has logged a code and probably reverted to "safe" mode, disabling the anti-lock system. The brakes will still function...but the anti-lock system will not engage in a "panic" stop.
IMO, the best possible solution is to buy a set of tires that are the correct size. [195/55 R15]

Whoops.. I misread.
Apparently, the new oversize tires are on the front. h:
Then the answer is yes, the gearing is off..and the speedo is off (slightly).
The ABS / wheel speed issue still remains.

http://www.canadiandriver.com/tools/...c/tirecalc.htm - You can punch in the stock size and make comparisons and it does all the math for you
As for tires any decent shop should be able to order them for you. If not then order them yourself off TireRack and have them put them on. I have BFG Traction T/As on my Integra, they are all-seasons with a 60k warranty and decent in the snow. If you never drive in the snow, don't mind the tires lasting half as long and want something that makes you car handle like its on rails you might want a summer-only tire like a BFG G-Force Sport. Tirerack has reviews you can read to aid in your decision. Good luck

go with 205/50/15 or 195/55/15. i got some 205's and would never go back.
I used to have the michiline XGT v4's (went through 3 sets), and learned that it was absolute garbage tire that costs way too much!>
i have a set of Kuhmo's ecsta MX (in 205's), these tires are so sticky and cost 1/2 of what the michilins cost.

The increase in diameter throws off the gearing of the transmission.
What you might gain in traction, you lose in acceleration due to "longer" gearing.
The best possible setup is to all wheels the same diameter.. as close to stock as possible.
That said...it seems like the original poster has dissapeared on us, gents.. h:
