Need Advise on my 94 Integra Hood
I've done a search and found some tips but I'm open to hear more suggestions. Basically my hood cable is stretched or maybe even broken to the point where I can't open my hood from inside the car. I even tried using a visegrip to pull on the wire from inside too. I'm in a huge problem because the car won't start (battery died while changing my front axle) and for months now, I couldn't open the hood to open at all. I'm looking for answers because now I can't change my battery without opening my hood. *sigh*
Please can someone help me out... I'm in desperate help. I am so close to hacking at my hood with a saw and cutting a hole into my hood.... argh!!!
Thank you in advance,
GenTik

hrmm.... i'm just gonna go on a long shot here, but what if you detached the cable from the latch inside the car and just pulled it yourself so you could stretch it as much as you need to... thats assuming its not broken anyways... If its broken maybe there's a way to reach it from under the car if you put it up on ramps? (FYI, these are just random ideas, none of them have been tested... but i figured i'd try to help :-/)

Thanks guys! I'm gonna go out and try it right now and hopefully taking the latch out and pulling it will help. If not, I will try the fender idea and pull the wire from there. The ramp idea won't work because I can't start my car and to get it up the ramp I would have to push. That would be too difficult for me and my father to do.
I'll let everyone know if it works... I really appreciate all the creative ideas.

Like teevee247 mentioned, remove the driver's side wheelwell liner.
(It's impossible to remove the metal fender without opening the hood.)
Assuming the hood cable hasn't been relocated by a previous owner, you'll be able to lock a set of Vise Grips onto the broken cable and open the hood latch.
When you replace the hood release cable, you may want to re-route the cable through the engine bay instead of through the wheel well.. This will make it very difficult for thieves to open the hood from outside the car.
