95 teg LS. Idle probs and release bearing probs
Hey i think i have a bad release bearing. when i accelerate from a dead stop the car makes a bit of a knocking noise which goes away at higher speeds, pretty much when i shift out of first at normal rpms. how can i tell if the release bearing is shot? also could this cause my idle problem? I had a coolant leak which i fixed and now i'm gonna reset the ecu to see if that was the cause of the idle problem. I'm putting in new plugs and pcv valve. I've checked the iacv and iat, both are working properly. next on my list is checking the TB from dirt and checking the tps.
ANYONE who might be able to help please post. i wanna get this shit fixed it's been like a week that i drive like this and look like i can't drive stick.

A release bearing will make a clattering noise when... you guessed it, the clutch is released. It will go away if you depress the clutch pedal. I'm not sure what your clutch problem is, but the release bearing it is not.
What exactly is your idle problem? High, low fluctuating? Check for vacuum leaks and water temp sensor (on the t-stat housing) since it looks like you've checked everything else.

well the idle prob is that it fluctuates from about 1100 to 1500, like i'm revving the motor. And the release bearing thing, it does make a clattering noice when i release the clutch, and the noise goes away when i press it down...
