Which Transmission?
I am doing a B18 swap into a 91 civic. The motor I am putting in does not have a trany on it but they have two that I can choose from for the swap. One is an A1 5 speed out of a 2 door 93 Integra and the other is YS1 5 speed out of a 4 door Integra LS.
Anyone have any insights into the A1? I think that it is from Japan but not positive. On sportcompact they have an engine guide and it states that it was manufactured for the JDM.
Any info would help.

JDM doesn't make it better.
As long as the tranny is made for the system you are putting it on (cable or hydraulic), it will work. If your clutch system is cable, the YS1 will work. I have never heard of the A1, so I don't know.
