Default Maint. Reqd light?

What things can the Maintenance light indicate?
(for those who read too quick, not the check engine light, the maitenance one.)

it's been on for a while, but I just did an oil change and stuff....

are there other things that the light could mean, or do I just need the light reset like some have said I might?
How much would that cost to take it to the honda dealership and have them reset it?

Reset the light, it's a button under the dash around the steering column area. It turns off after a set amount of miles since it was last reset to remind you to service the car, it doesn't mean anything.

:werd: I had my start flashing at me this morning and I just held the button under the dash down for 5 seconds and it went away. It is just an indicator that you should have the car serviced if you are on regular service intervals. Otherwise, ignore and reset it.

This indicator reminds you that it is time to take your car in for scheduled maintenance.

For the first 6,000 miles (9,600 km) after the Maintenance Required Indicator is reset, it will come on for 2 seconds when you turn the ignition switch ON (II).

Between 6,000 miles (9,600 km) and 7,500 miles (12,000 km) this indicator will light for 2 seconds when you first turn the ignition switch ON (II), and then flash for ten seconds.

If you exceed 7,500 miles (12,000 km) without having the scheduled maintenance performed, this indicator will remain on as a constant reminder.

under your steering colume there is a cover(where the change tray is) Behind that is the box that contains the button.

yeah, it's the same.
Haha, I'd have felt like a flippin' idiot if I brought that to a mechanic for them to push a damned button!

lights off, and I just changed the oil before a trip to Boston to go to HIN, so we're golden!

Thanks as usual all!
