But anyways, okay I'll mention that to the guys at the shop about the cams, because Id like to save a little and not spend the entire amount, because Im ordering all the parts in one day, including the JDM front end conversion and all the interior goodies. I dont know too much about engine components, but I remember the guys at the shop saying that it would be bored to a 2.2L or something to that effect. But Im really happy that I might not have to buy new cams, I actually have old cams that I got out of my ex's 2001 GSR when he bought skunk2 stage 1, and I raced his car with the stock cams, and I dont know if it was just a strong car but it ran 14.3 with only bolt ons. But Im thinking Im just gonna go with that.

And as far as racing on the street, ehh I doubt it, keep it at the track

Oh yeah, the rollcage and everything I've got that covered already, I mean Ive raced at the strip alot when I was like 16, I had a mustang, but like Im tryin to build up my dream car right here =D

1. Boring to a 2.2L is too much, the cylinder walls are too thin for boost. 84.5mm is the biggest bore you would want to use under boost.

2. Stroking to a 2.2L would be even worse, just in case they throw that idea out. You can make plenty of power even at 1.8L.

3. The Skunk2 cams won't even work as well as the stock GSR cams. They are for an all motor application, which causes valve overlap to make power. This doesn't make power in boosted applications, because it bleeds boost out of the exhaust before it can be combusted.

If you were to stroke out the engine that much... wouldn't that kill the revvability of a B18C?

Yes, it will affect the revvability. It'll decrease the rod/stroke ratio causing more stress on the cylinder walls and pistons.

You can get golden eagle to make your block however you want. If you're buying a block that's already been built, I would advise against boosting a 2.2L GSR block.

Depends on the kind of crower cam. A turbo cam will work well for a turbo application, an NA cam will not.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned a K-series swap yet. Boosted K > Boosted B!
