Default fake axxis ultimate pads?

Hi all!

I just received the axxis ultimate brake pads from this guy in CA. Now I wonder if he sent me the right thing. They came in proper silver axxis ultimate box. The pads were sealed in a polyethylene bag that said "QUALITY PRODUCT". The pads are marked like this: "DB 1292 OUTER ULTIMATE MS GF 749977" and "CONTAINS NO ASBESTOS". The working surface of the pads contains copper and silver metallic particles.
Do you think these are authentic axxis ultimates? Just to make sure.

Thanks for your advice

I will be getting my Axxis Ultimates either tomorrow or Friday, so I will let you know how they are packaged when I get them.

Yeah, that's gonna be the Ultimate test!
I payed $50 for the front ones. Do you think it's reasonable?

I paid $84 shipped for the whole set, so it sounds good to me. I'll let you know what they look like when I get here.

Oh, I like the pun too. :chuckles:

Hey, guys, please somebody tell me how real Axxis Ultimate brake pads look like!
Otherwise I'll install them tomorrow and then this question will be on the back of my mind 'till the end of my life ... pad's life, actually ... whichever comes first, to be precise :--)

OK. I got the pads on Friday and installed them tonight. They came in the original box and shrink wrapping. On the shrink wrapping, it had a blue embossing that said "QUALITY PRODUCT" and then if you look at the non-contact part of each pad, it should have where the pad goes and it should say "ULTIMATE" somewhere on every pad.

Looking at your original post, it appears that you did, in fact, receive the right pads. Hopefully they are the right pads for your model. I put mine on tonight and they are much better than what I had on there before. After I break them in, they should be a great pad.

No problem. It was just a coincidence that you asked this question right as mine were in the mail on their way to me. Weird....
