98 integra, took long to start, engine light on, whats wrong ?
hey guys,
my car ran fine, but all of a sudden when i tried to start it, the car took longer to start than usual
you know how you turn the key and it makes that ignition sound, well it make that sound but it took longer to start, and when it finally start, the engine check light turn on...
i turn it off and start it again, this time it started faster but the check engine light still on
so a couple hours later, i start the car and it started fine and the engine light turn off...
i was planning on checking out the engine check light code tomorrow but the light turn off so i cant do it
anybody know whats up ?

ignition going out ?
im no mechanic so dont take my word for it
anyway, i ran to oreilley and borrowed their code scanner and it comes up a P304 code (even though the engine light is off), and according to one of the ecu code thread on honda tech, its a No. 4 Cylinder Misfire ?

Cylinder 4 Random Misfire
Possible causes:
Fuel injector clogging, fuel leakage, air leakage
Fuel injector circuit open or shorted
Spark plug carbon deposits, fouling, malfunction
Ignition wires open, leaking
Distributor malfunction
Compression low
Valve clearance out of spec
Have you recently changed spark plugs, or haven't changed them in a long time? Pull the spark plug in cylinder four and check its condition along with the ignition wires. By test driving, determine the conditions in which the misfire happens. If the misfire doesn't recur, some possible causes are fuel that doesn't meet owner's manual spec, lack of fuel, carbon deposits on spark plug.

well i found out what my problem is
my gas tank has a HUGE dent in the bottom. When i get below about 3/8 tank its kinda hard for it to suck in gas i guess. BEcause when i have it full it starts right away, when i have it at about 1/4 tank its hard to start. Guess i better get a new tank kinda quick.
