I would avoid velcro unless it was used to hold an aircraft carrier or something...Did you remove the covers off of the seat before you lookd at the clips. The little diagram in the FSM has it kinda bolted to the "frame" of the seat. But it looks like there may be more clips in other places in the front of the seat, just covered by the seat cover(at least it's doing its job). If I can find a good diagram online I'll post it.

There are two hooks that hold the front down. The hooks are more spread apart on the new seats than they were on the old ones. They are about 1.5-2 inches from the hook holes, so I don't know what to do about that. I don't want to remove the covering unless I totally have to.

Could you just use something like another metal hook/double sided hook to make it reach that extra little bit and hold tightly?

Sorry, it was night time and the lighting just doesn't do the seats justice. There appears to be stains and splotches on the seats, but they are in good condition. I will try to get some pics during the day.

And here is what I am talking about with the hooks: They don't even come close to lining up.

Well, you could cut the hook off of its current position, and run another thin metal bar from it toward the hook hole and then weld the hook onto the other metal, and then, tada, it fits. Thats personally how I think I would approach it, rather than using velcro or leaving it be.

here is my shitty lil demonstration... quick paint job ;p

I was thinking of doing something like that but I don't know how to weld and that would be a lot of effort for something that isn't that big of a deal. I rarely ever have passengers, so it doesn't really effect anything and the seats still look good.

Thanks for the compliments.

I don't see why not. A new gasket from the dealership runs me around $15, so for $10 more, you can get the Hondata gasket and it won't stick to the mating surfaces like the cork one and you may see some performance gains out of it. They will be negligible but you paid $25 for it, so don't expect much out of it.
