Default thermostat

While trying to replace the thermostat in my G3 teg the other day, I noticed that the bolts for the thermostat housing were completely stripped. One of the bolts is kind of a pain to get to, which doesnt make it any easier. Any ideas on what I could do to get them out?

ez-out.

OR try getting a 6-pt socket on there. if that doesn't work, try hammering one size smaller on there.

tried the 6 point...also tried using a slightly smaller socket. still no luck. my buddy suggested using a bolt extractor and then just replacing the stripped bolts, since they will have to be replaced anyway. any other options? oh yeah, what is ez-out? thanks again.
