torque figures would help. they matter a lot in how fast your car actually goes. besides, no one's going to be able to tell you for sure who will win. the only way to find out 100% is to race him, and yes like it's mentioned above please do it at the right location.

Race him at a sanctioned event and compare timeslips.
It's that simple.

It'll be a close race, largely determined by launch rpm and off the line grip.
Are both of you running stock (open) differentials?

just a quick question on the ls turbo vs gsr turbo. In one year i get my bonus and was planing on dumping 10Gs on the engine and turbo buildup. I currently have a LS motor and was thinking of swapping for a GSR motor. I was going to bore out the b18 and want to reach 500+ horsepower. IF i did the exact same thing to both motors will the number be identical or would the gsr motor exceed the ls? I mean at 20 psi + will the difference be enough to make a gsr swap warrented?

if both motors (ls/gsr) are full built with 10g's into the setup, the gsr will be faster then the ls.

lets say you weren't do internals:
Ls motor is just a motor that will get most gains from a turbo and is safer to boost at higher psi.

Gsr motor won't boost as high, but even at lower boost rate, this engine is still faster.

if you have a perfectly healthy motor i wouldnt swap it out. just build and turbo it like you said. you can always put a vtec head on later if you want.
