i have talked to a guy who owns a shop around me and he has a type-r,
type-r block, si head 3angle, block bored out to 2.02, 7gs in custom cams, a blow head and a new 1, full rebuilt internals, and a turbonetics snail that could kill godzilla, and a ton of money in a rollcage 19gal fuel cell, lsd and crazy gear setup and he just hit 650hp, he has spent 40k on the whole thing so im not sure about making a safe 500+ hp for 10gs, i would like to see it if u do it.
i dont suggest buying a huge turbo straight out cuz i have seen way too many bottomends blown to sh*t

well for the 10G's i plan on boring out the motor, sleeves, pistons, rods, head gasket, cams, camshaft, and the turbo peices...i'm comfortable on dumping 10-12 G's on the motor and turbo alone.

Sorry I didn't make it clear, but I was referring to the thread starter and not you.

IF i did the exact same thing to both motors will the number be identical or would the gsr motor exceed the ls? I mean at 20 psi + will the difference be enough to make a gsr swap warrented?
stroke it to 2.0/b20 or just get a b20 block with gsr or type r head n build engine n turbo frm there...easy power right there if u go wit a b20/crv block with low compression piston n use gsr or type r internals you'll be fine n you'll save alot more money

Resleeving the motor (which is necessary for high boost anyways) and boring to a 2 liter is much better than stroking to a 2 liter. OEM internals won't make it past 300whp...which is far lower than his 500 hp goal. Even if he has VTEC, he still won't beat an LS making 20hp more and a good bit more torque than he is...unless his car is lighter.

Default LS TURBO vs. GSR TURBO

He can have more hp and torque but if you are a better driver you should be able to take him.

Keep in mind that your GSR has that close ratio 5 speed. If you can master that close ratio then Im sure you can handle it.
