i had similar behavior with my 95 accord a while back. turns out that a rotor wire was loose. this may not be the problem with yours, but you might as well do this quick check in your distributor.

thanks a ton for the info everybody, I will try anything to keep the damn car from stalling out while a chick is staring at me, its just sad. They always trun away after the car dies and wont restart.

Distributor, you probably need a new one. Same thing would occur with the cranking for days, but still wouldn't even sputter. either rebuild yours or go get a new one. Otherwise check for water at or around your spark plugs, or plug wires. If you live in climate where the weather and temp are changin' constantly this could cause condensation to build up and foul up your plugs. Solution: use an airhose to gettem' dry, just dont be looking in the same direction as the plug or you'll get H2O in your eye.
