Default Shaking issues

I have searched but found no real solid answer on why my car does this:

During acceleration especially in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear, the whole car shakes throughout. I am trying to pinpoint the problem because it makes it unsafe to drive when the steering wheel is shaking everywhere. I think I have it narrowed down, but I need someone to confirm the problem. The drivers side axle was replaced about 4 months ago, so that isn't the problem. The passenger side axle has been slinging boot grease onto my tranny for the last 30k miles, so it may be on its last legs and causing the shakes because of blown CV joints. I don't know about this because it isn't clicking at all when I make turns. I don't think it is the wheel balancing because it would shake at a certain speed regardless of throttle position. Alignment is good because I got it aligned a few months ago. I don't know if it is a broken motor mount but I would assume that if it were, it would shake in all gears under acceleration. The rotors definitely need to be replaced because they are warped to shit and I plan to do that in a few weeks but I don't think that is the culprit either. So I think it may be a motor mount or the passenger side CV axle. What do you guys think?

I really need to figure this out because next weekend, I am going to put a halt to my massive oil burning problem with the replacement of my piston rings and valve seals, so I would like to do all this at once so I can not have to worry about another problem for a while. Please help me out and share some experiences because I will go to any length to fix this annoying problem.

Make sure the wheels are properly balanced and that you are using the correct type of lugnuts for the wheels you have on your car and make sure they are secured. This is a common problem that is over looked when cars do what yours is doing. Replace your axles/driveshafts even if one is only damaged. The other is soon to go. Change those rotors too. You'd be surprised how much interruption that warpness can cause. Do all these things and check back.

OK. Thanks for the help. I will get the wheels balanced next weekend.

Bad axles can cause shaking at higher speeds.

That may not be your problem, that was only 1 mere suggestion. It could be those other things too, don't put all your eggs in one basket and hope it is something as simple as a balance, cause most likely it is not, especially if your into tuning like everyone else here, we all come across problems that are a lot bigger than a balance.

I tested the theory of the unbalanced wheels and it came up false because I put my old rims on with balanced tires and it still does it. I am planning on swapping the axle this weekend and hopefully that is it. I am just trying to narrow it down to what it could be because there are so many things it could be. I am just puzzled as to why it would shake under acceleration in these gears and no other time.

I also purchased a new set of rotors front and back, so that is another thing I can rule out if the shaking doesn't cease.

So, I replaced my PS axle today and that still didn't fix the problem. It made it a little better but it still shakes under throttle in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gears. My money is on the rotors. I ordered a full set, so I will have to get those on and keep you guys updated.

I dont think rotors would have much affect except under braking, unless they were warped so far that they caught the pads. I know you said your driver side axle was replaced, but did you check it when you replaced the passenger axle? Other possibilities would be defective/bubbled tires, or bent rims.
