I basically did the same thing in my 91 crx si not to long ago. Not the exact same thing, but on the same lines. It just screwed up my tranny. The knocking you hear could possibly be your tranny. At least you hope you did'nt screw up your engine and tranny at the same time. I ended up getting a used one. Not to expensive if you fix it yourself. Pay somebody, and it'll be well over a grand.

So at the bar me and Justin and Lee are talking it over and it seems that my clutch obsorbed most of the tranny hurting so im probley going to need a new clutch. we also came to the conclusion that the nocking in the engin is ether a broken spring or a bent valve. The car still runs like normal. just a really loud knocking. it is annoying but what can i do. I am taking off my valve cover tomorrow to inspect under that so I hope you guys can give me your simphathy. I am really sad right now. but I guess it could be worse.

Thanks for the advice. The car knocking noise does get lounder when i ingage the clutch. I am going to replace the clutch for sure but we are also doing some other checks on it like a valve adjustment and such. A guy i know with a GSR did the same thing i did and described to me the same noise mine makes. He said he just did a valve adjustment and it went away.
