practice what you preach, guys.

i can't tell someone not to do something, or doing something is wrong/bad when i do it myself.

as much as i'd like to say, don't street race, etc., most of the racing i've ever done has been on a freeway, at a street race, or at a stop light.

don't get me wrong, you take soooo many risks when you do it, but i don't think we should lecture someone else not to, unless we don't do it at all either.

I doubt doing a valve adjustment will get rid of a knocking noise. A ticking noise maybe, but not a knocking.

That's too bad to hear, but God made that happen to your car to teach you a lesson, because we all know it's illegal to race on the streets, especially doing something that dangerous on the beltway. Just be careful & race at the track. That's why alot of hangout spots to race at are guarded heavenly by feds. Alot of youngens f??? it up for the rest. Think safety, track only. Hollar Gingas, The Ghetto Prince. Yeah!!

If you suspect engine trouble do a compression test. If a valve is bent the car won't run normally.

well I know have the car back and sure enough I bent all eight exhaust valves and one intake valve. I also had them replace the timing belt and water pump why they were down there. Now im just rebreaking in the motor and am excited as I can finally put Synthtic Oil back in at the end of the week and rev high again. They also took my new sparkplugs out and put crappy ones in that aren't right for my S/C so I got to take car of that too. But I totally learned my lession and I don't street race anymore.

Because it's irresponsible and illegal.

He caused the damage misshifting, yes that would have happened on the track too, but that doesn't make the street racing part any better.
