Default 1991 Acura Integra Alternator

I fixed a new battery couple of months back. A week back I saw the battery signal not switching off once when I started the vehicle. If I raise the RPM then it goes off, yesterday my car stoped all of a sudden in the middle of the road? what should I do now? should I change the alternator?
can you help me out

yea ur alt. is shot. the reason the battery signal light went out once your RPM's went up is cuz that spun the alt. so fast it finaly made an acceptable charge, which shut off the light. Insted of spending 100+ bux on a new alt. take ur alt out and get it rebuilt. im gettin my rebuilt right now. it only costs me 20ish bux, the most common prob when alt. goes bad are the brushes, and those cost all of 3bux. and when uget it back its just as good as a new one.. and u save a TON of money...also to get it rebuilt it only takes a day or two... you can also get ur starters rebuilt for a good deal also. insted of spendin the unneeded money on a new one... Good Luck man
