OMG!

First 8500 is still with in normal operating rpm range for a ITR, second Don't pull the motor out if there is no sign of damage to the top of the pistons unless you can't find damage within the head.
I have shifted many times about 8500, on a daily basis and have not burned up the clutch on one bad shift.
Second just follow my recommendations I posted before.

i live in CA and I don't park my car in the garage. If you're like most Californians who don't have a basement/attic, you use your garage as one.

when my car is parked, it has a club on the wheel, auto-loc on the clutch, viper alarm with engine kill if it's not off, engine kill if it's cut off. Furthermore, I have my sister's Civic and the family's Astrovan parked behind me over night. They'd have to steal 2 cars to get to mine. The Astrovan is pretty loud, and you wake up when you hear it. My sister's car's pretty quiet, but her BF is trying to get her to put an exhaust and other stuff on it. If they towed it out, i think you'd hear a vehicle that is powerful enough to pull a vehicle out.

I'm sorry if i offended some in the ITR Forum, but i didn't see the hybrids section, and plus since my problem is with my type r engine, i though that i would get a better advice from people who own a type r...

a little paranoid? yeah! how's this, i awake at 2am to hear my car alarm going off.

i go running outside, and i hear my dad coming down the kitchen behind me outside. as soon as we opened the door, we saw 2 shadowy figures (eyes not adjusted to the dark yet) run toward a car and zoom down the street. my car cover was half lifted off, and upon further inspection, the cable running under the car from the car cover was partially sawed through. this is why i had my alarm set at it's highest sensitivity.

just one of many stories, waking up in the middle of the night having my alarm go off, with some type of incident. other times, we only made it out in time to hear a car blasting down the street (always sounds like a rice rocket).

a little paranoid? yeah, if you don't know me, you wouldn't know that recently my CBR600RR was stolen from me.
