Antenna....

Antenna....
I already posted this in the DIY section but got no response so I hope some of you fellow teg owners can help me!
When I bought my car, the antenna was messed up so my friend bought a new one for me and put it in. Then somehow the little cap on the top came off and now its all screwed up. New ones aren't that cheap and since I always listen to MP3s, never the radio, I could care less about having an antenna.
To get to the point, who can tell me how to turn the motor off so that my antenna always stays down (even when I turn the radio on). Because as of now, when I change CD's, the radio comes on and the antenna trys to go up then when I put a CD in, it trys to go down and makes this horrible noise
So anyone who could give me some instructions, it'd be greatly appreciated! Thanks

What year is your Integra?
If it's a 94-01 2dr, here's the deal.
From the rear of the car, remove the plastic interior trim piece that forms the back wall of the trunk. Then, with the rear seats folded forward, remove the connectors that hold the driver's side rear trim panel in place (Theres a bolt underneath the shock tower cover panel as well).
Once the connectors are out, carefully pry the side trim panel loose. You may need to disconnect the harness for the trunk light in order to have enough room to work.
Then, once you can reach the base of the antenna, unplug the clip-type harness from the motor body, leaving the heavy gauge, black antenna wire plugged in.
Secure the motor harness plug so it won't rattle or short out to the body.
Reconnect the trunk light harness, replace the trim panels and you're done.

My antenna crapped out on me a year or so ago..the toothed plastic drive strip snapped in half.. So I gutted the antenna motor body and forced the antenna shaft back down.
No big loss.. commercial radio has sucked ass for the last 10 years IMO.
