Bore Honing
I plan on replacing the piston rings on my GSR again this weekend. This time i'm gonna hone the walls the right way. I've read a bunch of stuff about it, but most say just get a cloth hone and put it on a power drill. What grit cloth should I get? What attachment for the drill do I need? My helms goes into pretty good deatail about the cross hatch pattern, but on a couple of online builds they seem to prefer the smooth finish. Which do I want?

I think the main reason he is asking is because he doesn't want to remove the engine to take it to a machine shop. I don't think that honing it while it is in the car is such a good idea. You take the risk of dinging the crank.
