Thanks for posting that. I was trying to tell somebody just the other day that the JDM ITR originally came with the 4.40 axle ratio but I didn't find any easy way to prove it.

an easy way to tell the 4.40 final gear tranny and the 4.78 final gear tranny is the 4.40 had J4d with LSD on the case. and the 4.78 had N3E stamp with LSD on case

not a problem. the　differences of the two cars is interesting if you can get a hold of the parts lists book from the dealer.

 

Well I have a JDM 96 Spec R and my tranny is labled R4 LSD so......
