Hey all, this is the first thread i start in this forum and I hope to get some help from some mature people. My girlfriend's just recently got a 94 RS (auto...uuugggh) aanyway, everything's fine....cept the temp gauge was at "C" even after the car's been running for a while...i'm figuring the t-stat's stickin' open.......the other day i noticed the needle move off "C" and be where it should be...anyway, i picked up a new t-stat for her and will be putting in it in a few days once it warms up a bit. Also, the car idles weird (only sometimes) when in "park".....it'll jump from like 1000-2000 rpm ever 2 sec....like it'll keep bouncing up and down.....think this is a tranny problem? Any help would be appreciated. If you're a hotshot in here and can't say anything positive please don't bother posting. Thanks.

 

idle problem wouldnt have anything to do with the tranny. If could be a vaccum leak or the IACV might need a cleaning.
