Tranny swap, anyone done it?

Just take off the intake, motor mounts, shift linkage, cv shafts, starter, bolts that hold the tranny up to motor. Theres some other random stuff you have to take off that I cant remember off the top of my head. I didnt use my manual on my tranny swaps but I have a Factory Service manual that breaks everything into detail and it would make things alot easier on you. The hardest part of it is getting the "bitch pin" out(its a pin that hold the shift linkage onto the tranny), then putting the tranny out and in.

Be prepared with lots of tools, Problem I ran into was the balljoints and the spindle nut. The ball joint puller wasn't working so I pulled out the Fork type ball joint remover and ripped the boots. Have new boots in handy. The spindle nut was a pain, I borrowed a crazy @ss 32mm wrench. pic of tools below. On top of that I was using fencing pipe as a breaker bar. Took me about 12 hours in a span of 3 days in the cold, If I had all the tools from the start could of done it in 4-6 hours. And wd40 is your friend, soak every bolt that needs to be removed night before, helps alot (liquid wrench or any penatrating oil) and use antisieze incase you F*ed up and have to tear it apart again.
