Default 17" too much for integra

I have a 95 integra and i have some 17 rims lined up, but ive heard that 17" rims raise the height and slow down integras. I was planning on doing some engine mods and i dont want getting too big of rims to lessen the power ill be getting through mods. Is this true or maybe the loss in acceleeration would be minimal. I appreciate the help and if anyone has good 16" rims im looking for some.

dont go any bigger than 16 on any civic or integra unless you want to hurt the performance.

Given the choice between 16" and 17", I'd recommend going with lighter, stronger 16" wheels.

Gearing and wheel weight become an issue with wheels 17" and larger.. both of which hamper acceleration and suspension performance.

depends on the weight. My 16's w/tires were 34.5lbs and my 17's with tires are 35lbs even. I don't feel the diffrence. Here in Cali. if you want to keep it emissions legal anyways you can only do so much, and a bigger wheel adds to the look, so why not huh?

I am still getting my 17's I think, I just have to make sure they are lighter
and the overall dimensions from the tire are not larger than what i currently
have. If it is lighter and about the same size, you will actually gain performance.

then, suspension issues come into play. harsh ass ride and it is sooo easy to bend a rim with such a low profile tire and even curbing it. big rims just arent practical on a car like that.

17s on stock suspension looks bad and the performance sucks. I have 17s right now and I am getting my hands on a pair of fat fives because they slow me down so much. I upgraded my suspension because it looked so bad but the acceleration sucks ass.
