QUESTION. . i need some feedback ppl! :)
Alright, so i have an 1998 Acura Integra GS, and id say in the past 6-7 months my check engine light periodically comes on. I did some routine checks and maintence back in summer and then i came on again in the fall. I went to the Honda dealership up where i go to school, and he told me it was because i didnt put "premium" spark plugs in. I put in NGK's and i know those are completely fine and reliable. Anyways, my light just recently went back on, and theres this clanging noise near my muffler. . it almost sounds like its dragging. It bogs down really easily as well. I replaced only my midpipe this summer (not muffler or cat converter). so basically im wondering would my check engine light be on if there was a problem down by the attachment to my muffler (when i let my car sit in nuetral, it makes these big puffs off air when it runs, almost like a bus). Nothing looks lose or hanging off as far as I could see. Also, in the recent past my friend who works on hondas said its possible that my O2 sensor might need to be replace because of the misfires on the engine decoder for the check engine light. I dont really think that would have anything to do with the noise its making though. Let me know! Thank you!!

There is no way to know unless you find out the code. Guessing about it is rediculous when it is so easy to find out and fix the problem. Check www.c-speedracing.com for a how-to on finding and comparing CEL codes.
