Default can too much back pressure mess up turbo? or cause problems?

hey im currentyl runnin a greddy kit... and i have my greddy sp exhaust and i think its too much back pressure for my shit and like im wondering is that bad? i want to get a new exhaust sooon... but b4 that i wanted to know will da pressur go back towards da turbine and cause ne damages to motor or ne thin?

need help asap!!!!!! im running into too many problems currently on my integ... car just got stratched.. my fmic aint on yets... cant tune my stock greddy fmu... exhaust problems... tryna do thangs one at a time

Your catback is fine unless your boosting like 14psi +, if your running the stock psi then your fine because our motors are only 1.8 litters so its not like they produce that much exhaust pressure compared to bigger displacement motors. Your 2 1/2 inch piping is good enough for the time being.

You're fine. You have a small turbo and aren't running a lot of boost.

Bigger exhaust = LESS backpressure = LESS lag and MORE power sooner.

More backpressure will not decrease turbo life or motor longevity in this case.

Your 2.36" piping should be fine for your setup. I wouldnt worry that a 3" is going to make much of a difference. Nevermind with that Greddy kit your DP is like 2" anyway, so you still have that bottleneck.

sorrie but does back pressure cause any idle problems... what do you think caused my idle to be off... on neutrol its at like 2000RPM when i full stop it drops a bit down to like 1600RPM when im about to get into gear it drops back to normal
