Default How do I remove the Air Intake Resonator?

Hello, I'd like to remove the air intake resonator on my 98 GSR. I searched for posts on this and didn't find any.

Could someone give me some steps on this or point me to an article. Thanks alot.

no need to unbolt it you can get it out by just pulling the fender liner back

It doesn't need to be removed with a SRI because it doesn't go down that far. It does save a tiny bit of weight though.

Just pull the fender lining back like HYBRID said and unbolt it. No need to remove the bumper.

I have AEM short ram intake, but I did not remove the resonator
because it pushes cold air at the short ram intake, providing cooler
air into the engine and air intake.

also mine makes a high pitched whistling sound in certain rpms
sounds kinda cool but i dont know what it is.
i know its comming from intake

I agree.. It does take of some weight, and you can remove without taking the bumper off..

Unless you have a Type R you are not sucking in cold air. The actuall inlet on the resonator is taking the air from inside the engine bay. Look on the side wall next to your ABS system and you can see a big hole. That is the air inlet.

All intakes make the whistling noise. Whether the resonator is in there or not doesn't effect anything.
