I wouldn't even bother removing it. Its a waste unless your gonna go with CAI. Leave the resonator in just incase you ever decide to go back to stock.

ah take it out and make a custom cold air box using the factory filter box and the tubing out of the resonator works for me.

I thin there is like one or two bolts. I pulled down that plastic guard under the car, and yanked that ****er out. It gave little resistance, and now I use it to hold change.

That si what I was thinking.... So in order to make this a "custom cold air box" what else do I need to do besides remove the resonator and maybe a new high flow filter? And by removing the resonator is there a greater chance to suck up water?

its not the intake that makes the whistleing noise.. its the throttle body sucking in massive amount of air when it opens up...if you take off the air intake and rev your engine using the throttle cable you can hear it and see when it happens ...and i just take out the resonator because its quite unsightly sitting there with no purpose

Run some piping from the bottom of the airbox to a spot behind the bumper. I had dryer hose for a while, which was ok but kinda flimsy. Not to mention it looked ghetto as fawk
